If you're reading this, I have a request: I'm applying to present at SXSW EDU this coming spring. My goal is to spread the word about how using role-playing games in the classroom can lead to huge wins for kids, teachers, and parents, from more enthusiasm and engagement to real, concrete academic gains.
But I need your help!
SXSW EDU has an open voting system: they rely on presentations that have been voted for by the community. If you click on the link below and like what you see, PLEASE vote - it will help me get more people in the education industry interested in and engaged with using RPGs to teach!
When I last presented at SXSW EDU in 2023, I was just starting to coach classroom teachers on how to use Luna Uni, my classroom-ready RPG, to teach kids how to write. Now, they're in their second year using the approach, and have had over 130% score gains on writing rubrics - a HUGE win!
And the books for the approach should be finished and ready by SXSW EDU 2025, which means teachers, administrators, and everyone else at the conference will be able to go home with a copy.
Help me spread the word and get more people using this approach? It would mean the world to me - and do a world of good for educators and their students!
Thanks,
Michael
